“Love thy neighbor”

People Pleaser if you will.

Why do I feel obligated to read ALL of my devotionals every day? I subscribe to them because they seem interesting and because I simply Love to read the word of God and others interpretations of it. It helps me clear my thoughts and form new ones.

In the same way I at times feel obligated to keep everyone and their momma’s happy, but why? Well because in the same sense I LOVE to see happy people and hear the awesome feedback and just help others. As my friend Lola would suggest “You want to do everything for everyone…” But that’s impossible….EVERYTHING for EVERYONE…and what about me? I know that you think of the Bible and the word and think but GOD said; “Love thy neighbor” But that doesn’t mean love your neighbor and be there every waking moment to help them in everything that they may possibly need, or does it? We are programmed to think that if we think too much about ourselves we are being selfish, and there is a fine line. But, knowing that God loves us all no matter what and that WE are only human and can’t love, the way God loves, eases my sense of responsibility for others. As humans we also have to learn to lean on God, like a friend, as a friend and as our one and only Lord and Savior. It is true that thru Him all things are possible.

So, while I can help some and really most of my wonderful friends who call on me. I can’t help everyone! And at times, need to call on others to help me. Trying to take it all on without calling on Jesus causes for major burn outs which can then lead to an unhappy and un-shinny penny. So, our most important and the One we should always keep in our hearts is Jesus.

Jeremiah 17: 5-6, "Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the Lord. He will be like a bush in the wastelands... He will dwell in the parched places of the desert."

Because even when you feel as if you are pushed to the limits, God is here.

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Galatians 6:9

Hebrews 10:39 "We are not people who turn back and are lost. Instead, we have faith and are saved."

On another note:

Last night I conquered a fear…the fear of going to the store alone with my son…once I prayed about it and turned my worries to Him it turned out to be the best experience all week! I needed the little Momma~Son afternoon outing… I love my son! By the way, I was the lady with all the coupons and double checking sales at the end of the Target counter….hehehe.

And on another note!

I am usually not a political savvy or politically involved person but I do again have a passion for helping people and this week I have just learned and accepted so much that I now feel like I am in the right direction and on the right path… Please see the following links…..
