Not Again Monday!

Just another Manic Monday..lol.

I have been a little late in posting cause I have been a bit busy at work but I had an awesome weekend. It was my sisters first baby shower and we had another cold weekend!

Monday at work was a bit crazy. But I guess that's how Monday's usually are. On the upside...I started looking for stuff to create my little creations for my sister's 3rd baby shower which will be at my moms. I am very very excited!!!

Well off to sleep...I am sure that I had so much more to say..but it's forgotten now and well can't get it back...

Happy week!

Thank GOD it's Friday!!

Notice how I start my weeks with one exclamation point and end it with 2!! Haha. I think it's like that for most people, you start the week going..ehh it's Monday, boo...and by Friday you are soo hyped that the weekend is here there is no way to hide the excitement!! And it's all about WOOOOHOOOOO!! IT'S FRIDAY!

My weekend promises to be busy which some weekends is awesome..I am somewhat of a busy body... and love doing just about anything! My husband on the other hand hates it! But you win some you loose some...I think.

Plans for the weekend:

SATURDAY-My little sister has her first showering of gifts and Blessings for her little one...if I haven't mentioned how much it means to me...I will! :D Here is a little something about her : http://gracejunkie.wordpress.com/2008/11/20/my-sister-my-hero/
• Also Saturday-my nephews Birthday. Seems like some weekend are just jam packed!
• Sunday- church and then dinner with friends... hubby and are cooking...
• I also want to catch up on posting my son's pictures on Facebook and getting some onto Shutterfly to print.
• Somewhere in there I have to buy some presents; one for my little hamster (my sisters baby) and another for my nephew.
• I also want to finish cleaning my house and organizing myself.
• I ALSO want to start working on some baby shower items for my sisters baby shower given my mom and myself! :D
• SO MANY OTHER THINGS! Like sleeping and eating that are also a must..but we will see!!! :D

This week has indeed been hectic but soon enough we will have some nice little down time! Then what will I do with myself! It feels a bit overwhelming but I love the rush and when it's all done looking back and going..”I did that!”, is a great accomplishment.

I feel really good about this year and I know I have said that almost every day this week...it doesn't hurt to remind ourselves that nothing is as bad or as serious as it seems and that yes there is always going to be better days but trust me in the end GOD WILL FIND A WAY! He will!

I have so many new motto's, new Blessings, new people in my life, and just soo much to look forward to in 2010. I still have not worked on my "New Year’s Resolution" as promised I want a NEW LIFE resolution! I am working on it, thinking about it and checking my list more than TWICE!

Have a great weekend and hope you enjoy this blog and my old....comment!!! I love to hear that you agree or DISAGREE with me! :D

~Praise and Worship Wednesdays~

This year I want to grow, but really grow. Be more mature and let go of all the un-needed situations in my life. Not create anything that I obviously don't want to handle and focus. Focus on my life, my husband, my son, my family, God, my career, my friends. And just be Happy. There is no need for the sadness. I know that with God in my heart I just can't go wrong. I have much to celebrate about this year and who knows if God wants maybe even another little one for us...I would really rather wait and enjoy Santiago but he brings SO much Love, Light and Joy into our lives that we honestly can't wait to have another baby! Only God will dictate when! In the mean time I plan to continuously keep a clear and attentive mind with positive and happy surroundings. Surroundings which include true people of Faith, who will not only raise my family in prayer with theirs, but who truly wish us Blessings and Love.

1 Corinthians 13:11 (New International Version)
11When I was a child, I talked like a child; I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.

One person who ALWAYS kicks me back into perspective is my husband. We grew up together and know each other very well. We love one another and we are not perfect and at times annoyed by one another and even have frequent squabbles but in the end we know each other and we love each other. Like many couples, like many marriages we have had ups and downs but we never lose sight of what really matters. In our case we have submerged ourselves in our Faith and have come a very long way. No one is perfect.

Ephesians 5:1-2 (New International Version)
1Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children 2and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

It has not been an overnight process it has been 10 years going on 11 of what we have. You can't expect your situations to change if you don't commit to it 100%, if you don't slowly expect change and if you don't work at it every day! Ricardo and I have done that for 10 years...and JUST NOW...Just now things are great! We have struggles everyday and have been through some very hard times both as individuals and with our families and still we continue to work at it. We have had SO many times when we have to sit back and think wow we have come a long way and have gone through so much, we remain in awe and think how incredible...and just feel Blessed.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 (New International Version)
18give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

I am going to share something VERY personal from this past Christmas, it's what my husband wrote on the inside of a Christmas card for Santiago, and the outside says "Very 1st Christmas".

So, that you can further understand the note here is the story behind it. Ricardo lost his job in September 2009, right before Santiago was born. Prior to that we had discussed me getting a "new car", a mommy car if you will, my dream car was an Armada. Then he lost his job and I had to go back to work, even though we had also considered me possibly being a stay at home mom. When I went back I realized that since I had been so good at breast feeding Santi I lost more weight than I thought I would and my work clothes fit me huge! But, we were broke with Ricardo laid off and me having been on an 10 week maternity leave of which 8 weeks were unpaid so I couldn't buy new clothes. And really none of this affected us in anyway…but when I read this…it’s just remind me of what is TRULY important and puts so many situations and things into perspective. I am really blessed. Really.

The Note:
"Even though I am broke this Christmas, it's the best ever. Thank you for the precious gift of a son that you've given me. I thank God for my Blessed family. Have Faith in me that everything will be OK. I love you and my son with all my heart. Gift card is for your mom, it's not an Armada but it's the best I could do."

Just Blessed. Couldn’t ask for ANYTHING more.

Galatians 3:9 (New International Version)
9So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.

Fatty Boy Tuesdays:

My Boys-

On the 16th of this month Santiago will be 4 months....though it seems like time has gone by I feel like it's gone by very appropriately. I try to enjoy every minute that I am with him and admire women who work and have families! It's hard enough to wake up and go to work every morning but it's even harder to leave this little man behind. Every morning that snooze button is my favorite accomplice. Santiago sleeps sooo soundly that he makes you never want to leave bed.

He still has not found a job but we pray that soon enough he will. In the mean time he continues to watch the baby, manage our finances and cooks. He doesn't mind it all as long as I take him out on the weekends, haha! He loves to tell people that "Mama brings home the bacon!" We need him to get back on track though and become physically active and be more healthy. He is really working on this. In the mean time he is same old, same old, Silly daddy!

Well it's 2010!

My co-worker stated that it didn't feel like was 2010 but regardless of the feeling, this year promises to be a good one!

SO many experiences left behind in 2009:

January - I found out I was pregnant! (I felt so Blessed and this was the Best news of my life! )
February thru April- Were soo BLAH due to my pregnancy..lol...I was exhausted and sick to say the least.
May- I found out I was having a BOY! And, that one of my good friends and Ricardo's Aunt were both pregnant!
June- I turned 28
July- I find out I have Gestational Diabetes and it creates many more issues in my pregnancy
August- Ricardo turned 30
September- Santiago is born and Ricardo is laid off
October- Santiago's First Halloween
November- Santiago's First Thanksgiving
December- I find out I am going be an AUNT and Santiago's First Christmas

And so many others; some filled with sorrow and others filled with pure joy! In all, it's a new year and while we all scramble to make New Years Resolutions and put them into place...I want to make a NEW LIFE resolution.

I have taken these categories from a Facebook Note:

Personal growth-

Own (things I want to have)-

Fun/Adventure (things I want to do)-

I will take them very serious and attempt to accomplish something GREAT within each category. Something that will lead me to changing as an individual and as part of a family. Something that will ultimately lead me to being the BEST possible person! In the mean time, I will work on it and when it's done I will post it.
Today should be the start of a new day...and every day should be the start of a new year, new opportunities for you to be better and feel better!
“He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”- Micah 6:8
