Last month I visited the Dentist. I will admit, it's not my favorite place but this visit was very eye opening. As Momma's we seem to neglect ourselves. For me, I feel like my teeth as important as they are, should be OK with simple brushing. Well, not the case. It's very important to brush, floss and use mouth wash at least 3 times a day. It's what I learned at my last appointment, all of that followed by regular visits to the dentist are very important to our dental hygiene and continual care.
This is a duty that as a Momma I take very serious. I instruct my children to brush and floss, they even use their own mouth wash-daily. Yet, here I was not following my own instructions. Due to taking on too many tasks during the day, not making time to properly brush, floss and rinse with mouth wash- I was missing steps in my daily dental routines. As someone who meets many people I know how important all care is and my teeth should be one of my number 1 priorities.
This month thanks to Colgate and their spokesperson Karla Martinez, who is not only a fellow Momma of Dos, but also a well known Mexican TV host; the Houston Hispanic Community will be able to receive free dental screenings. During the month of June, Colgate has embarked in a month long campaign to assist the Hispanic community in obtaining pertinent information about dental hygiene. They will also provide more than 11,000 children with free dental screenings just in time to start a new school year.
